Emotion

We take a person and burnish them until they gleam at us: reflecting ourselves, unrecognizably.

It is said that the power of self-recognition is limited only to some apes and humans, that the comprehension of the other is something only humans have. But what are we in that moment when we do not recognize ourselves? What is it that we have become?

Emotions are merely our way of pissing to mark our territory-- the imperialism of the immaterial.
